something new coming your way
August 29, 2011
salut everyone,
i have a confession to make…i haven’t been good lately.
blogging that is.
being away from office and home had given me a generous opportunity…made me feel not only very lucky…but awarded me with a new perspective. fresh. maybe this is what i needed.
it also motivated me to make some changes so i gave a mini face-lift to my blog. have you noticed?
so i’m back. planning to re-design my office in the next couple of months…i have three new rug collections at works right now…i’m drawing them as i write this post…and i can’t wait to accomplish the rest of my chores on my to do list. i’m ready.
speaking of collections, one of them i am hoping will be executed for production in the next month. this particular collection excites me because it’s something i haven’t done before and i am feeling very strong and positive that i should be doing this. did i mention i follow by my instincts?
here are some views that inspire me for this collection:
there is something very mysterious about taking pictures in the dark.
the play of colors that interact with each other can sometimes fool the eye…we can’t get that in day light. they are rich, bold and full of expression. i’m almost always inspired at night time (unless i’m Zzzz…). it’s when colors and forms get their full personality and stimulate my imagination.
i’ve already started my drawings and have a lot to go. can’t wait to see the results and share them with you.
for now, bonn journee
going green
August 14, 2011
ciao,
it feels weird to be back. two months away from home then sitting on the kitchen island writing this weekend post…like nothing happened…is no easy task. had too much fun being away…it almost makes me feel bad. almost.
but summer is still here and i didn’t plan to write anything this morning so i thought i would post something goodie…just to say hi to my blog:
radda in chianti, tuscany
tiny. tiny farm in a tiny town in chianti, tuscany
designers’ paradise in rome
tuscany. *sigh*
venezia. *double sigh*
yup. that’s me. didn’t know how cold it would be in tuscany…i packed like i’m about to visit india…tank tops, shorts and flops. it was very cold walking around…(july!). but i loved. loved. every moment.
while staying in italy for a few weeks this summer my eyes were washed with wall to wall carpets of serene, earthy and calming color mix of yellow and blue: green. gorgeous. it was every where: fields, windows, trims, architecture, terraces, interiors…
it was hard to ignore.
for now,
arrivederci.
Scenes from italian town

I always miss home and family when i travel but i think i am nomadic at heart. My sister says i’m a natural. Can’t argue with big sis. I’ve been away from home for about two months now (accompanied by my youngest) and i cannot stop but thinking how much of a good time and so inspiring my trips to Italy, France and Israel were this summer. Back home soon…i can honestly say i miss my office (not that it looks amazing or anything like that), call me weird. Simply didn’t have time. And while away the beauty of the travel made me fantasize about an all new office…bright and chic surrounded by my rug and and silk pillow samples, mood boards, pictures of my travels and future ones of course, sketches of new rug designs which i recently came up with…my head is exploding with ideas.
Blogging was sketchy and uploading images from my tablet is pretty annoying. so i…somehow…managed to upload (probably cheated) some pictures of one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen this summer. This is until things will get back to norm…or do they ever.
Chianti Tuscany, Italy:

Absolutely unforgettable places with unforgettable views. I have so much to show you. Soon. So come back.
For now,
Ciao
